Southshire Community School is a Vermont approved, progressive, family-oriented elementary school (K-8). Founded in 1987, its goal has been to help children become individuals who possess academic and critical thinking skills, love learning and value themselves as creative, contributing members of a community. The Southshire culture – where children of all ages come together to learn, explore and share their individual interests in a safe, nurturing environment – encourages students to respect each other’s thoughts, opinions and interests. Busing is available for students from neighboring communities of Cambridge and Hoosick, New York.
